Christine McJunkin joined Highland Commercial Mortgage in July 2017 as the Comptroller and Vice President of Finance. As an experienced accountant and consultant, she supports the leadership team and loan servicing team with revenue and budget analysis, accounting procedures, reconciliations, tax research, regulatory reports, data integrity, and business office management. She brings over 20 years of experience in accounting to Highland Commercial Mortgage. Prior to joining Highland, Christine most recently worked as a consultant in many different capacities including controller, financial analyst, operations management, and accounting software. She has successfully managed engagements in the healthcare, finance, and construction industries.
Christine graduated Cum Laude from Birmingham- Southern College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and active member of the Alabama Society of CPAs. In her spare time, Christine enjoys volunteering for local community organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Harbor, Children’s of Alabama, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Red Mountain Park, and Brookdale Retirement Home. Through her involvement with the Junior League of Birmingham she serves as Co-Chairman for their Junior Volunteers program coordinating kid-friendly events.
